Abstract

A composition for coating on substrates such as cardboard comprises polyethylene, between 0.06 and 0.3% of behenamide and up to 0.003% of an antioxidant (e.g. a phenol, an amine or a thioalkyl ester).ALSO:A substrate such as "Cellophane" (Registered Trade Mark), paper, cardboard, oriented polyester or aluminium foil is coated with polyethylene containing 0,06-0,3% of behenamide and up to 0,003% of antioxidant, and the coated substrate is then rolled and cooled.
