Abstract

A composition consists of a linear polyethylene of molecular weight >30,000 (e.g. 42,000) and 5 to 95% of the total polyethylene of a branched chain polyethylene of molecular weight >2000 (e.g. 28,000). The linear polyethylene may be produced either by the use of titanium compounds with aluminium alkyls or by the use of chromium oxide on alumina.
