Abstract
996,507. Rotary meters. SEMISA S.A. Nov. 4, 1963 [May 30, 1963], No. 43391/63. Heading F1F. [Also in Division F2] The turbine rotor 2 of a fluid flow meter is secured on its mounting shaft 7 by a stop 7<SP>3</SP> near the downstream end of the shaft, against which it is pressed by the flow through the rotor, the stop also serving, as the torque transmitting member. A circlip 14 at the upstream end of the shaft is also provided to position the rotor axially on the shaft. The stop is formed by providing an annular flange on the shaft and machining parallel flats 7<SP>6</SP>, 7<SP>7</SP> on opposite sides to produce circumferential projections 7<SP>4</SP> which are engaged with corresponding recesses 2<SP>2</SP> in the downstream side of the rotor. The shaft ends are pointed and received in bearings 10, the left hand one of which is mounted in a threaded member 9<SP>2</SP> for axial adjustment. Magnet inserts 12 and balance weights 13 are carried by the rotor blades in transverse alignment with a flux coil 6.
