A sheeps foot for a sheeps foot roller is hollower and has a flat end surface 3, a straight side 2 radial to the shell 4 of the roller and a convexly curved side 1 the centre of curvature of which lies on or near the intersection of the side 2 with the shell. The end surface 3 is preferably circular. The sheeps feet are welded to the shell of the roller which is perferably a vibrating roller, in circumferential rows the members of one row being staggered relative to those of adjacent rows so that in alternate the rows the sheeps feet are axially aligned.
