Abstract

1,133,624. Rollers. H. KRANTZ VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 5 April, 1966 [21 April, 1965], No. 15098/66. Heading F2U. A roller for exerting a uniform pressure in the treatment of woven fabrics comprises a hollow core 1 carrying stub axles 2, 3 and a jacket 4, spaced from and supported on the core to rotate therewith by threaded pins 6 received in threaded holes 5 in the jacket, and in shallow holes 7 in the core, thus ensuring that the. deflection of the roller at varying rolling pressures remains insignificant. After screwing in the pins 6 they are welded to the jacket and a soft and/ or hard rubber sheath 10 applied thereto. The pins 6 are arranged on peripheral lines spaced one quarter the length of the roller from the roller ends.
