A clamp for securing a wire passed through a hole 6 in a U-shaped member 1 comprises a wedge 4 extending transversely of the wire and operating to secure the wire against a part 9 and is characterised by the wedge being eccentrically shaped in cross-section as shown in Fig. 2 and being supported in the U-shaped member so that when tension is put on the wire the wedge tends to turn about its longitudinal axis and so clamp the wire more tightly. The wedge has teeth 7.
