994,176. Haymaking machines. C. GOODALL, and M. GOODALL. Sept. 22, 1961 [Oct. 11, 1960], No. 34820/60. Heading A1F. In a haymaking machine of the type having rotatable tools 10 mounted on non- vertical arms 14 pivoted on a support 11 about horizontal pivots 13, a torsion spring 16 is secured at its ends to each pivot 13 or to the support and is shaped between its ends to provide one or more coils and an integral cradle 19 which resiliently supports the arm 14 at a position remote from the pivot. Each arm is integral with a sleeve 15 loose on the pivot 13 which carries a fixed collar 17 at its outer end, to which the one end of the spring is secured, the other end being secured at 18 to the support 11. The support 11 is carried by a beam 12 which may have land-wheels or be mounted on tractor lift-links. Specification 892,436 is referred to.
