Abstract

914,979. Reaping machines KUHN FRERES & CIE, S.e.c.s. July 5, 1961 [July 8, 1960], No. 24232/61. Class 6(3). A hydraulic control system for a tractormounted reaping bar comprises a hydraulic jack 1 mounted on a stay 2 which also supports rotatably a three-armed member 7, the arm 4 of which is secured to a fixed point on a tractor by means of a chain 12, the arm 5 being pivotally secured to one end of the jack and the third arm 3 of which has a pin and slot connection 10, 11 with a link 8 pivotally secured to the reaping bar 6. The jack operates to rotate the threearmed member whereby the reaping bar is turned about a pivot on a casing 17 rigid with the end of the stay 2 and the complete mechanism is raised. A spring 14 takes load off the device and a securing rod 18 holds the reaping bar when in a vertical position. The pin and slot connection 10, 11 allows the reaping bar to pivot without the three-armed member being rotated.
