Abstract

919,220. Agricultural implements. MASSEY-FERGUSON (AUSTRALIA) Ltd. Aug. 29, 1961 [Oct. 14, 1960], No. 35214/60. Class 6(1). A tine assembly for use on a cultivator comprises a tine 12 pivotally mounted on a cultivator frame 10 and having an anchorage for one end of a tension spring 21 for urging the tine into its normal working position, the anchorage comprising a crank 26 which is turnable between upper and lower limit positions so that when the spring is attached its moment arm about the pivotal mounting point may be varied. The crank 26 has a hexagonal head 29 so that it may be turned so that it moves over its dead centre in its movement between the limit positions. The crank is held in its positions by a plate 32 which abuts against stops 33, 34.
