Abstract

993,554. Crop sprayers. DORMAN SPRAYER CO. Ltd. Dec. 1, 1961 [Dec. 1, 1960], No. 41328/60. Heading B2F. A spray boom structure for crop spraying comprises a rigid supporting member 1, Fig. 1, provided with an angle or recess in which is accommodated a table 2, and retaining members 3 to hold the tube and support together at least some of the retaining members incorporating a spray nozzle or nozzle housing which communicates with the tube interior through an aperture or apertures in the tube walls corresponding with the members 3. A screw 5 through the rear of member 1 urges the tube against arms 3a, a sealing gasket 6 being sandwiched therebetween. The support member may be of semicircular cross-section having flanges, Fig. 2 (not shown), or U-section. The tube may be of synthetic plastics or non- corrosive metal.
