Abstract

Pharmaceutical compositions having corticosteroid activity with reduced side-effects comprise a corticosteroid having anti-inflammatory action, e.g. cortisone, prednisone, prednisolone and 9-a -fluoro-hydrocortisone, and thiamine or at least one derivative thereof having vitamin B1 activity, e.g. the diacetate, the propyl disulphide or their hydrochlorides (i.e. derivatives in which the thiazole ring is opened) or thiamine hydrochloride or thiamine pyrophosphate hydrochloride. Specifications 741,250 and 749,307 are referred to.
