Abstract

991,492. Toy vehicles. LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO. Ltd. Jan. 28, 1964 [Jan. 28, 1963], No. 3448/63. Heading A6S. A model vehicle comprises a die-cast metal body 1 and similarly cast openable doors 2, each of which doors has an arcuate portion 8 sandwiched turnably between an upright cylindrical portion 3 of the body and an arcuate portion 7 of a body insert 4. A stop 9 prevents disengagement of the door from the body, and when the door is in its fully open position the stop bears against the body insert. The insert, which is a synthetic plastics moulding, represents the floor, seats &c. of the vehicle and abuts against various parts of the body 1 to render it stationary relative thereto. A second synthetic plastics moulding which is of a transparent material simulates the windscreen and rear windows of the vehicle.
