Abstract

990,430. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. BESPAK INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 2, 1963 [Sept. 13, 1962], No. 34963/62. Heading FIR. A sealing member 16 closing the opening of a pressurised liquid dispensing container is rupturable by a member 20 slidable through a resilient washer 22 into engagement with the member 16 the lower surface of which is supported by the disc portion 13 having a bore 15 of larger diameter than the end of the member 20. It is stated that with this arrangement the sealing member 16 is deformed before it ruptures so that the seal cannot reform. The member 16 is preferably of a soft metal e.g. aluminium, tin or lead.
