Abstract

990,272. Collapsible hand-carts. KERRIDGE JOINERY Ltd. Feb. 13, 1962 [March 28, 1961; May 17, 1961], Nos. 11370/61 and 18000/61. Heading B7B. A collapsible push-cart has a front frame 3, 4, 5 attached to rear frame 6, 7, 8 by links 9 pivoted to cross-members 4, 7 and to pins 18 bridging U-shaped members 3 above a seat 17 pivoted to the front frame and to levers 19 carried on lugs 14 on top links 9; handle 12 has two struts 13 pivoted to lugs 14 and being connected to bottom links 9 by loops 16 on links 9 which slide up the struts when the cart is collapsed; the struts are connected by axle 15 which may carry wheels 27. Seat 17 is pivoted upwards into the plane of the front frame to form a goods cart in which one of two bags 20, 21 of a plastics material is placed. A rack 24, 25 pivoted to one member 7 and slidably mounted on members 6, 8 normally carries the bags 20, 21. A tray 22 can be detachably carried on pins 18 and a further rack 29 is pivoted to the front frame.
