989,408. Semi-trailer couplings. JOSTWERKE JOSEF STEINGASS G.m.b.H. July 17, 1963 [July 21, 1962], No. 28247/63. Heading B7T. A coupling pin 1 may be held by a locking hook 2 pivoted at 3 by engaging a cam surface 6 of a pivoted hand lever 8 with a tail surface 5 of the hook. A spring 11 ensures that wear on the hook is taken up by follow-up movement of the cam 6. The pin 3 may be provided with considerable clearance in the hook 2, and the lever 8 may be replaced by an eccentric or other element having a similar action.
