988,407. Storage bins. H. SCHAFER, and T. SCHAFER, [trading as FRITZ SCHAFER, KOMM.-GES.]. Nov. 21, 1962 [Nov. 21, 1961] No. 44067/62. Heading B8P. A metal storage bin has outwardly inclined sides 4, 5 with channels 17 positioned at an angle to the base to facilitate nesting and stacking, the front end 3 being of half height and inclining outwardly to allow viewing of contents. When stacked the bin rests on the upper closed end 18 of the channel 17 and on a corrugation 9 in the rear end which also has a depression 10 to serve as a handle. If the upper bin is moved slightly forward from, the stacked position, the open end of the channel 17 in the upper bin engages over the face 18 and the bin slides down inside the lower bin until the rim of the lower bin comes into contact with the corrugations 16 on the upper bin which prevent jamming in the nested position. The sides of the bin have further reinforcing corrugations 15.
