988,136. Dispensing articles. ROWNTREE & CO. Ltd. Jan. 31, 1964, No. 4343/64. Heading A4T. A display stand for dispensing cylindrical articles, e.g. sweet containers, comprises a base 2 having mounted thereon a pair of horizontally spaced, parallel zig-zag tracks which support the ends of the cylindrical articles and are formed between pairs of identical track members 4, 5 and 6, 7 whereby the tracks change direction an even number of times, and including a stop at the bottom of the tracks to prevent articles from running off the dispenser. The stop may comprise shoulders 17, 18 on the base 2 or may be provided on one or more of the track members. The track members 4-7 have mutually perpendicular track portions 4a &c. and side portions 4b &c. A bridge 9, which may be identical to the base 2, is mounted at the top of the track members 4-7, the latter being braced by transverse slats 14, 15 and fillet webs. Several dispensers may be arranged side by side with intermediate track members having tracks formed on both sides of their side portions.
