A plastics fish box, made of, e.g. polyethylene, polystyrene or polyvinyl chloride, has a base 11 which is convex as shown in Fig. 9, both longitudinally and transversely. An upper perimetral rib 22 and a lower perimetral rib 23 encircle the walls externally. Each of the walls has an inward recess 25 of trapezoidal shape forming hand holes, the upper rib 22 forming a roofing over these recesses. To facilitate stacking, the edge of the box projects above each of the roofings forming teeth 211, and in one modification, Fig. 9, the ribs are grooved at 24. The walls have drainage slits 26 on a level with the base 11.
