Abstract

987,513. Fuel injection pumps. BRYCE BERGER Ltd. March 9, 1964 [March 14, 1963], No. 10097/63. Heading F1A. In a fuel injection pump in which the plunger 4 is rotated to vary the spill point by a toothed sleeve 2 engaged by an adjusting rack 15, the rack is in part located by a removable cover 18 and the rack and sleeve have holes 15a, 14a which align when the teeth of the rack and sleeve are correctly meshed. To assemble, a pin is inserted in the holes 15a, 14a and then the rack is slid along the pin until the teeth engage; the cover 18 is then attached to the body.
