Abstract

A method of coating an article comprises applying a premier layer not exceeding 0,30 mils in thickness, heating the primed article and then applying a powdered polyvinyl resin which is fused on the primed article. Postheating may be necessary. In the examples, steel plates are primed with an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber based phenolic resin or a mixture of epoxy and acrylic resins, heated and then immersed in a fluidized bed of polyvinyl chloride.
