Abstract

984,390. Dynamo-electric machines stator cores. C. A. PARSONS & CO. Ltd. Dec. 18, 1963 [Jan. 3, 1963], No. 352/63. Heading H2A. In a dynamo-electric machine, e.g. turbine driven A.C. generator, having a stator and a rotor, the stator has a laminated core 2 clamped together by bolts 5 which pass through the laminations and are of either electrically insulating material, e.g. resin bonded glass fibre, or metal insulated from the core, and the end laminations are screened against magnetic fields generated by the machine conductors 3. The screens 6 may be of magnetic material, or of a good electrically conductive material, e.g. copper, or both, and comprises laminated rings whose inner parts may extend between the conductors 3. Brackets 7 support the end windings 3a.
