Abstract
984,243. Transistor circuits. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Nov. 9, 1961 [Nov. 25, 1960], No. 40156/61. Drawings to Specification. Heading H3T. A transistor circuit is stabilized by means of a ceramic resistor connected in series with the emitter, the resistor having a positive temperature coefficient of at least 7% per ‹ C. and exhibiting a pronounced increase (e.g. 10<SP>2</SP> to 10<SP>3</SP> times) in resistance at a temperature approaching the safe upper temperature limit for the transistor. The resistor may be mounted within or in contact with the transistor housing. A further positive temperature coefficient resistor may be connected in the base circuit of a common emitter stage. Specification 714,965 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 747,784.
