Abstract

983,842. Bracelets. T. SHIBUYA. June 5, 1961, No. 20228/61 Heading A3H. A lazy tong linkage has hook and slot connections between the ends of the links which are disengageable at the fully extended position of the links. Links 11, 12 are connected by a central hollow pivot on the links 12. A spring 18 within the hollow pivot has ends which engage outer shells 19, 20. Slots 14 at the ends of links 11 engage hooks 16 on the ends of links 12. Disengagement of the hooks from the slots may be effected by aligning the hooks and slots in the fully extended position of the linkages, or if the hook is longer than the slot tilting the links to disengage. The hooks may extend in either direction from either the upper or lower links.
