Abstract

982,218. Concrete mixers. G. STETTER. Jan. 16, 1963 [Jan. 23, 1962], No. 1954/63. Heading B1C. In a rotary drum concrete mixer in which the drum 4 is supported by roller 6 and a pivot 8, the pivot bearing is integral with the drum drive gear-box or mounting. The pivot may be fixed in the drum and rotate in bearings in the mounting, or vice versa. The drum is rotated by a pinion meshing with an internally toothed gear ring surrounded by a cover 12, and is driven by an internal combustion engine flanged into the gear-box 7 (see also Figs. 2 and 3, not shown). The mixer may be mounted on a vehicle.
