In an electromagnetically operated horn the sound waves generated by the central portion of the diaphragm 16 (Fig. 2) are launched into a spiral horn by reflection from a flat plate 36 positioned in the central chamber 30 of the horn at an acute angle to the axis of the diaphragm.
