Abstract

[Also in Divisions H2 and H3] A radio frequency heating system of known type has an electron beam tube 18 provided as a visual indicator of the power input to the oscillator. The tube cathode-grid voltage is derived from a resistor 17 in series with the oscillator anode. As the oscillator does not function below say one quarter power, a Zener diode may be provided to block below a voltage corresponding to this. The oscillator may comprise a magnetron 11, the H.T. of which together with that of the tube 18 is derived through a time delay circuit 15. A push pull arrangement employing two magnetrons is described in Specification.
