Abstract
<PICT:0980428/C6-C7/1> A sintered iron bar is produced from iron powder formed by the continuous hydrogen reduction of iron ore in a reaction chamber 15 at 600-750 DEG C., the iron powder being discharged into a heated extrusion chamber 1 where extrusion takes place at 600-750 DEG C. The extruded bar may be further compressed by rolls 9 and 10 and finally sheared. Specifications 965,426, 965,427, 980,425 and 980,427 are referred to.
