980,322. Dentistry. W. V. TOFT. Nov. 10, 1961 [Nov. 16, 1960], No. 39334/60. Heading A5R. An orthodontic device comprises two members 1, 2, displaceable axially relatively to each other by a screwed bolt 4, the members being provided with peripherally extending grooves 8, 9 for use in attaching the members to sections of a dental base. The members are of square section, the member 2 having at its outer end a hole 10 in which may be soldered one end of a small diameter wire (not shown), the other end of which is drawn around a tooth. According to the Provisional Specification the device may be made of stainless steel or plated brass.
