[Also in Division G3] A circuit for supplying a load with constant direct voltage comprises an A.C. source, a series resistor 3, a rectifier 4, a capacitor 8 in parallel with the load 9 and a cold cathode tube 5 as shown, so that the alternating voltage is stabilised before rectification. The tube 5 may have an ignition electrode connected to a potentiometer in parallel with the A.C. source.
