Abstract

1,130,328. Voltage stabilizers. LOEWE OPTA A. G. Jan. 31, 1966 [Feb. 6,1965], No.4271/66, Heading G3X. A voltage stabilizing circuit supplying a number of D.C. loads, e.g. the various stages in a television set, with regulated voltages derived from an unregulated source 1, 2, 3 of rectified and smoothed D.C. comprises a first series transistor 7 having its base associated with a Zener diode 5 so that it supplies output lines 13,14,15 with a stabilized voltage over respective filter circuits 17 and 18, 19 and 20 and 21, 22, and a second transistor 9 which has its input connected in parallel with transistor 7 and which also has its base connected to Zener diode 5 so that it supplies a further stabilized voltage over filter 23,11 to an output line 12 to which may be connected a load subject to large variations. The negative pole of rectifier 2, rather than the positive pole, may be connected to earth, Fig. 2 (not shown), and the transistors 7 and 9 may be of the n.p.n. type.
