Abstract

The invention comprises a mixture of 1: 4: 5-triamino - 2: 8 - dihydroxyanthraquinone and 1: 4: 5 - triamino - 3: 8 - dihydroxyanthraquinone, and the alkylation product thereof. The mixture is obtained by reducing 5-nitro-1: 4-diaminoanthraquinone in oleum with sulphur. The alkylation is conducted in sulphuric acid. An example is given. The products are blue disperse dyes for cellulose acetate and polyester fibres.
