977,368. Limit stops for chain hoists. HEINRICH DE FRIES G.m.b.H. Feb. 22, 1963, No. 7255/63. Heading B8B. In a chain hoist the idle length of chain 7 is attached to a member 10 pivoted to the block 2 by a pin 16 and having an abutment for a member 11 engageable with a resilient element 1 when the limit of pay-out is reached. The resilient element 1 has passages 8, 9 for the working and idle chain lengths and may be engaged by an enlarged portion 5 of the hook for resiliently limiting the upward travel. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 921,093.
