Abstract

901,545. Pulley blocks. LEWMAR MARINE Ltd. Nov. 11, 1960 [Nov. 12, 1959], No. 38444/59. Class 78 (5). When load is applied to a rope passing over the sheave 7 of a pulley block via a pulley 17, the sheave 7 is displaced upwardly so that ratchet teeth 13 carried by it, are brought into engagement with a pawl 15. When load is relaxed, a spring 11 acts through a stirrup 10 to draw the sheave 7 down to its original position.
