Abstract

976,731. Photogrammetric plotting instruments. FAIREY SURVEY Ltd. Jan 7, 1963 [Jan. 5,1962], No. 557/62. Heading G1F. In a photogrammetrical stereo-plotting machine an optical viewer 30, Fig. 1, is mounted on the stylus support 23 so that an image of the view from above of the stylus point 22 and of the plotting table surface in its immediate vicinity is directed towards the operator manupulating the traversing controls 16 at the main frame 10. The viewer 30 may comprise a pair of side plates cupporting a lens 35, Fig. 2, and two mirrors 33, 34, mirror 34 being manually adjustable to suit the operator's line of sight. The viewer 30 is pivotally mounted on the stylus support 23 about the vertical axis of a shaft 38 and is retained in its set position by a screw 40. A lamp 52 attached to support 23 illuminates the stylus 22 and its immediate vicinity.
