Abstract

975,101. Fencing. M. SELBY. March 20, 1961 [Dec. 18, 1959], No. 43166/59. Heading E1B. Interwoven fencing 18, 19 is supported between posts 11, 12 and held in position by triangular section fillets 23, 23<SP>1</SP>, the fillet 23<SP>1</SP> being supported by inclined nails which are fully driven home only after the fencing is in position between the posts. A gravel board 16, intermediate strengthening batten 17 and two-piece top rail 151, 15<SP>11</SP> are provided. According to the Provisional Specification, the ends of the horizontal fencing members 18 are received loosely in grooves in the posts and may be clamped by a single batten 30, Fig. 7, or by a wedge member 30<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 8, engaging a supplementary groove 32.
