Abstract

974,914. Door catch retaining members. FIRTH CLEVELAND FASTENINGS Ltd. Aug. 20, 1963 [Sept. 3, 1962], No. 33741/62. Heading E2A. A door catch retaining member is formed from a strip 1, Fig. 1, of resilient material bent round upon itself, as shown in Fig. 4, to form a closed figure having a planar base and a resilient abutment 20 for engaging a nab member 27. The base is secured to a door of frame 24 by a screw 25 in an aperture 3 and by bent-over part 10, 11. End 2 of strip 1 is relieved so that parts 15, 16 can be inserted beneath it and the two extremities are held together by means of the screw 25 which may be tightened through an aperture 17.
