Abstract
974,687. Line guide fittings. KENT & CO. (TWINES) Ltd. Aug. 19, 1963 [Oct. 15, 1962], No. 38850/62. Heading A1A. A fitting for attaching a guide ring to a fishing rod comprises a single strip of chromium plated brass or stainless steel formed into a first part 11 embracing a fishing rod 10, and a second part 12 forming a guide ring the fitting being clamped on the rod 10 by means of a screw 16 which passes through apertures in ends 1 1a, 12a, of the strip and which engages a threaded block 15 brazed or soldered to the fitting. The second part 12 is swaged around a metal guide ring 13 having a ceramic lining 14. The inner surface of the first part 11 is knurled or serated at 11b.
