Abstract
973,744. Thermoelectric devices. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. Feb. 15, 1961 [Feb. 22, 1960], No. 5627/61. Heading H1K. A thermoelectric assembly comprises pairs of P and N thermoelectric elements which are of equal length and have their opposing faces bonded together by an insulating layer; the end surfaces are electrically connected in series. Fig. 3 shows such an assembly consisting of elements 6, 7, 8, 9 bonded by insulating layer 10 to form a cylinder and composed of, for example, bismuth telluride and bismuth selenide or antimony telluride. The ends of the elements are connected in series by semi-circular contact plates. The assembly may be ringed by a thread of castable resin and may be heatinsulated by a silicone grease containing aluminium powder.
