[Also in Division G6] The gas circulator of a nuclear reactor is sealed to the reactor pressure vessel by means which allow for thermal expansion. The casing 22 has a flange 22a which is joined by bolts 23 to a supporting flange 24 which is in turn joined by means of bolts 25 to the steel liner 19 of the wall of the pressure vessel. The bolts 25 pass with clearance through the supporting flange 24, and spaced at intervals around the supporting flange intermediate the bolts 25 on radial pins 26 which lie in circular recesses formed between the abutting faces of flange 24 and lines 19. The lines can thus move in a radial direction, within limits imposed by the clearance of bolts 25, without affecting the position of the blower casing. A sealing ring 27 prevents leakage through the flanged joints. To provide against displacement of the blower if bolts 23 fail, an annular ring 28 is located in recesses in projections 29 on the inner surface of liner 19 and abuts a face of the liner and a face of the circulator casing flange 22a.
