968,192. Air cushion vehicles. HOVERCRAFT DEVELOPMENT Ltd. Sept. 26, 1960 [Sept. 25, 1959], No. 18552/64. Divided out of 968,191. Heading B7K. An air cushion vehicle has the cushion space bounded for at least part of its periphery by structural means and in part by a curtain of moving fluid issuing below the structural means, the structural means comprising an inflatable door structure 5 depending below the inner boundary of a port 8 supplying fluid for the formation of the fluid curtain, and a flexible membrane 10 depending from the bottom of the vehicle on the other side of said port, the fluid flowing down between the inflatable structure and said membrane to issue from the bottom of the structural means in the form of a fluid curtain.
