Abstract

967,803. Filling and capping machines. IN-CRATE BOTTLING CO. PROPRIETARY Ltd. March 14, 1963 [March 20, 1962], No. 10547/62. Heading B8T. In a bottle filling and capping machine, which forms an extension of an " in-crate " bottle washing apparatus, crates of bottles are fed by a conveyer 1 to a filling tank 2 and are afterwards fed by a conveyer 4 to a capping machine 3. Filling and capping heads 6 and 16 correspond in position to the bottles in the crates. When the bottles have been filled and capped, the crates are fed away by a conveyer 5. When beneath the filling tank and capping machine each crate is indexed vertically by platforms 7 and 12 respectively. The vertical movement is effected through cams 9 and 14 and gears 11 and 15 by a driving shaft 10. Specification 918,453 is referred to.
