966,527. Measuring fluid pressure electrically. J. S. DEAN. June 16, 1961 [June 28, 1960], No. 22654/60. Heading G1N. Fluid pressure is measured by means of a conventional resistance element 18 made of a composition where resistivity varies with pressure and enclosed in a chamber 16 to which the fluid under test is admitted An identical comparison resistor may be situated in a chamber 17 open to atmosphere. The two resistors may be connected in adjacent arms of a bridge circuit, the unbalance of which may be measured on a ratiometer or which may be rebalanced by calibrated resistors in the other arms. Two resistors in each chamber may be used occupying all four arms of the bridge.
