964,830. Mitres. ROBERT HENRY LYNE. May 10,1963 [May 11,1962], No. 18117/62. Heading G1X. A base 1 has two pairs of vertical pillars 14 secured thereto and rotatably supporting rollers 12 which form a guide for a saw, two arms 7 being pivoted at 6 to the base 1 and each having an upstanding wall 10 so that in use a length of material to be mitred can be clamped, e.g. by C- clamps,to the face 11 of a wall 10 the angle between the saw line defined by rollers 12 and face 11 being indicated by pointer 8 against the appropriate scale 4. Two arms 7 are provided to avoid having to reset the arm 7 when mitring the other end of the length of material. The rollers 12 are spring pressed upwardly by light compression springs so that as sawing proceeds the reinforcing strip on the saw progressively pushes the rollers down the pillars 14 and the blade is always engaged and guided by the rollers.
