[Also in Division Gl] A clamp for supporting the frame 4 of a pendulum in a horizontal position comprises jaws 10 pivotally mounted on a holder 11 by pins 10a. When the knob 13 of a plunger 12 is depressed to cause the plunger to slide within the holder 11, extensions 10b of the jaws are urged by a spring 14 into a groove 12a in the plunger, thus opening the jaws to release the pendulum.
