992,772. Cycle stands. O. NORGARD, and I. WOLFF. April 25, 1963 [April 28, 1962], No. 16334/63. Heading B7J. A bicycle stand includes a cover for the saddle of the bicycle and means for retaining the saddle beneath the cover to support the bicycle. In Fig. 1, a support 1 carries a cover 3 and a clamp 2 which engages beneath the saddle. In Fig. 3, a post 9 supports a cross-bar 10 on which is pivoted an arm 11 carrying a cover 12 having depending side strips 14 which engage the saddle. The cover 12 may be disposed at rightangles to the position shown so that the bicycle is arranged parallel to the cross-bar 10. In another embodiment a post may carry a plate bent in U- shape, the upper limb of the plate forming the cover, and the lower limb being formed with a recess for engaging the saddle post.
