899,348. Cutting-apparatus. COOPER, E. H., and MILLER, P. G. Feb. 15, 1960 [Feb. 13, 1959], No. 4995/59. Class 31 (1). Cutting-apparatus comprises a rotatable cutting disc 6 carried by a carriage 5 traversable along rails 4 and spring-urged against a stationary cutter bar 2 so that the disc 6 is rotated solely by frictional contact with the bar 2 when moved by the carriage. The bar 2 forms part of a base 1 which is provided with a measuring rule 14, which may be in the form of a fence, an adjustable fence 15 and a guide 18 which may be movable vertically to clamp the material being cut.
