In a Roebel-bar winding the joints at the overhangs (or some of the overhangs) are divided into at least two mutually insulated sections to reduce the circulating currents induced by end leakage flux. The mutual positions of the sections in the vertical direction may be interchanged in this connection, i.e. the top section It is connected to bottom section 2b, as shown, or alternatively be unchanged (Fig. 1, (Acc.
