961,638. Endless conveyers. CHAUDRONNERIE MARION. Aug. 9, 1962 [Oct. 26, 1961], No. 30472/62. Heading B8A. Material to be treated in a chamber 2, the pressure of which is higher or lower than atmosphere, is introduced into the chamber between endless belts 6a, 6b which unite at their edges to protect the material from liquid in a U-shaped sealing chamber 3. As shown, the material is removed from the chamber via a second sealing chamber 4. The belts 6a, 6b may however be arranged to enter and leave through the same chamber (Fig. 4, not shown). Rollers 9a, 9b are used to bring the edges of the belts together and have their axes inclined to the direction of belt movement (Fig. 2). Heaters 14 may be provided for the liquid in the chambers 3, 4.
