Abstract

961,190. Cameras for recording the roll of missiles. COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA. Oct. 7, 1960 [Oct. 9, 1959], No. 34487/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading G2A. A method of recording roll of missiles relative to the ground or other reference, comprises obtaining a photographic record of an arc from the missile of at least 180 degrees in a plane which intersects the horizon or other reference using a wide angle lens camera, the field of view of which is limited by passing the image through a slit and moving the film transversely to the slit whereby the image of the horizon or other reference produces a line in said film. More than one camera can be used for example two cameras may be used either facing the same direction with their slits at right angles to each other or facing in opposite directions with their slits parallel. A tuner lamp may be included in the camera to record time interval on the film.
