Abstract
960,841. Machine tool details. H. DECKEL, and F. W. DECKEL. May 15, 1961 [June 23, 1960], No. 17552/61. Headings B3B, B3C and B3K. A milling and boring machine comprises a pedestal 10, a support 14 horizontally slidable on the pedestal, a gear-box 20 vertically slidable on support 14, a tool spindle head 22 horizontally slidable on gear-box 20 and a tool slide 26 mounted on head 22, having a tool spindle 30 pivotable about two axes. An auxiliary table 40 is mounted on a support 44 so as to be rotatable about an axis 42, support 44 is mounted on a bracket 48 so as to be tiltable about an axis 46, and bracket 48 is pivotable about an axis 50 on a foot 52 secured to face 16 of the pedestal. An angle block 66 may be secured to table 40 for supporting work 68, Fig. 1, or the block may form an extention of the table axis, Fig. 2. Table 40 is supported by braces 72, Fig. 2, which may be secured to foot 52 or when using a long table they are attached to a member 78, Fig. 4. In a modification, Fig. 5, block 66 is secured to braces 82, or it may be incorporated in a frame 84, Fig. 6. Specification 856,694 is referred to.
